What a couple of months!

shockedWell, everyone knows that I have been fighting the web site for a while now. I think I have all of the bugs worked out. It was a long journey but I believe it will be worth it in the end.

And then, last Saturday I got hit with my MS. Hard. Right between the eyes.

It is something similar to vertigo, but worse. I have a splitting headache right now, and have had one off and on since Saturday. But the scarier part to me is my balance is shot. I have fell probably 5 or 6 times this weekend. One time I banged my left elbow. It came down straight and bounced off the porch hard. That was Saturday and it still hurts like hell.

And my whole left side is weak. At first, I was thinking it may be a stroke. But I didn’t really have any other signs. So I think it is just my MS letting me know it is still there. It is to the point that I have a hard time raising my left arm up. It feels like it weighs about 10 times as much as normal. My left leg is the same way. When I walk, it kinda just drags. I can lift it a little, in other words enough that it is not just dragging, but if I try to lift it more it feels like my arm does, like it weighs 10 times as much as normal.

Now for the good news. I sent a message to my neurologist through MyChart. And he actually has an opening today. I was shocked when I heard that. But I am glad that he responded so quickly. The only thing I am afraid of is he will want me to go in the hospital so he can give me IV steroids. The oral steroids do nothing for me usually. But I will post an update after my appointment to let everyone know what is going on.

So I am going to go so I can get a shower.

Everyone have a wonderful day and stay safe.
Jim
